Nayquone and Corey, students at the Heart of Birmingham Vocational College, are supporting Evolve by volunteering at the Evolve Cafe.

Kyle got employed through the Govermental Kickstart Scheme. His cooking skills helped Evolve offer some homemade vegan recipes to our customers.

Mac and Luke are working as a team, also volunteers, they know how to make some excellent coffees.

We are a Midlands-based social enterprise that provides young people who have faced barriers into employment with training and job opportunities – all whilst serving up stellar coffee, freshly prepared sandwiches, and tasty treats. 100 % of our profits are directly reinvested into Evolve and other community projects, so you can be sure that your morning coffee is truly making a difference.

We’re pleased to offer a bright, budget-friendly and charming events space attached to our coffee shop at The Adam and Eve, Digbeth. Our room as been designed with flexibility in mind so whatever the event – Evolve it! We also offer staff or unstaffed kitchen hire for all your pop-up needs.

COMMUNITY COFFEE

Our mission to give back to communities starts with what we serve in our cafes. We aim to invest in ethically sourced, and good quality products. All our staff get barista training from Union coffee, who are a direct trader – so your purchase is socially conscious from the bean to the cup.

We’ve reinvented our menus with an emphasis on health and wellbeing. Our staff have undergone nutrition training to better understand the value of what we eat.

With funding from Forward Carers we are pleased to offer a delivery service of fun, fresh meal kits for young carers (aged 10+) across Birmingham.

Since we opened, we have already helped over 20 young people onto the career ladder and offered over 800 hours of support to our team. We have created Evolve as a safe-space, designed to be a stepping stone into the world of work for young people to help gain confidence and life skills.
